What should I do to New York Times which misquoted me?

New York Times' one reporter asked me several questions regarding Islam. I told him that Islam means peace and submission to the God. Without willful obedience there will no peace. Islam does not allow violence except if someone hit you and even in that case it is better for you if you forgive. However if you can't then maximum you can do is to do equal damage but not exceed. I told him that Islam is not a new religion. It is the same religion from Adam to Muhammad (Peace be upon them). And any one who believes in One and Only God and obeys him is a Muslim. The word Muslim means one who possesses peace and one who is obedeint to the God (Allah in Arabic). We love and respect all Prophets and their righteous believers and followers as they were all Muslim. Quran is the final edition of all divine book.
